Quote of the week

"This contextual analysis of Wright's venom, this extenuation of black hate speech as a product of white racism, is not new. It's the Jesse Jackson politics of racial grievance, expressed in Ivy League diction and Harvard Law nuance. That's why the speech made so many liberal commentators swoon: It bathed them in racial guilt while flattering their intellectual pretensions. An unbeatable combination."

Charles Krauthammer, on Obama's race speech

It should be no surprise to anyone that the political faction carrying the most guilt before God by way of explicit advocacy of moral licentiousness should at the same time always be seeking a faux righteousness by way of running to the aid of (and kneeling before) anyone who screams "oppression!"
